Last week, the infamous Roedean weather with its rain and high winds, left us in ‘lockdown’ for two days, with everyone having to remain inside while they were at school! The students dealt with the situation brilliantly, remaining positive and in high spirits. A comforting prospect is that they will undoubtedly have learnt the circuitous routes around the School much better during this time!
Our Music Scholars from across the School, showcased their incredible talents at our first recital of the year. With performances from students in Year 8, all the way up to Year 13, the range of style and periods, and the sheer calibre of performers, really was impressive.
We celebrated Culture Day at Roedean on Friday, and it was lovely to see members of our community dressed in something of cultural significance, while also raising money for charity.
Finally, we are delighted that Dr Tessy Ojo CBE, will be our guest speaker at our Annual Black History Month lecture on Monday 2nd October. As a passionate Civil Society Leader who has been recognised for her services to children and young people, we have no doubt that she will be a huge inspiration.
