Support Roedean School

The support of Roedean’s wider community of former pupils, parents, staff and friends has been key in the development of the School throughout its history, from the original school buildings in 1898 through to the all-weather pitch in 2018, and our Theatre refurbishment in 2021.

We are continually improving our facilities and expanding our Bursary fund to ensure we continue to offer a rich and rewarding educational experience for as many girls as possible.

We will soon be starting to look to the future, and the major anniversaries approaching the school. The School buildings will be 125 years old in 2023, and the School itself will be 140 years old in 2025. These anniversaries will bring with them exciting plans to ensure that the Roedean is still providing the best possible facilities for the next 140 years. In the meantime, please do consider a gift to support Roedean and our pupils. Every gift to Roedean, whether to support our facilities, a particular department that means a lot to you, or for our Bursary fund is gratefully received.

Did being at Roedean help make you who you are today? Do you believe a Roedean education gives young girls the very best start in life?

If you would like to give something back, you can make a charitable donation to Roedean, or give your time and become involved in School life.

We are hugely grateful to all our generous benefactors who wish to support Roedean’s vision and we greatly appreciate every gift, large or small.

For more information on how you can get involved, contact Grace Chaston, Head of Alumnae Relations by email:, or by telephone: 01273 667398.

Take Your Seat

Roedean has a long history of our community generously supporting our desire to provide the best facilities possible. Most recently, with your help, we raised £85,000 (beating our target of £75,000) to help with the costs of refurbishing our Theatre.

Ways to donate

Throughout Roedean's history, we have supported many girls through bursaries and scholarships. Much of this has been possible due to the generosity of our community. With continued support we will be able to expand our bursary fund and support even more girls to benefit from a Roedean education in the future.

If you would like more information about how a donation from you could support future Roedean girls, then please click 'discuss with us' and a member of the development team will get in touch with you or click below to make a donation.

Legacy Giving

Roedean has produced a wealth of distinguished women who have made a considerable contribution to our society in many different walks of life.

If you are thinking of making a will, or have already done so, once you have taken care of family and friends, you may wish to consider leaving a bequest to Roedean.

Whether you wish to endow a Bursary, provide funds for a capital project, bestow an asset, or gift your stocks and shares, your bequest will be honoured and you will create a lasting legacy which will benefit future generations of Roedeanians.

As a charity, a legacy or bequest to Roedean School (Charity Number 307063) is exempt from Inheritance Tax (IHT). This means a gift to the School in your will could reduce your potential IHT liability. We always recommend you obtain the latest IHT advice from your professional advisor.

If you would like to know more about leaving a gift to Roedean in your will, please click 'Discuss with Us' and a member of the team will get in touch with you. Or, if you would like to let us know that you have made, or are planning on making, a donation to Roedean School in your will, then please click 'Legacy Gift Form' above.
