House 1 - It’s been a jam-packed term of fun and laughter for House 1 with a spirited badminton session, and House 1 and 2 also went head-to-head in a high-energy dodgeball match that had everyone on their feet! They celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, where the House Captain treated everyone to delicious homemade mooncakes, made bubble tea and decorating colourful paper lanterns. Following that a relaxing Girls' Pamper Night a calm and creative origami session.
House 2 - House 2 boarders got off to a great start with fast-paced sign language games, followed by the sweet smells of freshly baked cookies wafting through the House during Tasty Tuesday. The Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated with a magical Moon Walk, delicious moon cakes, and beautifully crafted lanterns. Another culinary twist was Noodle Night, where everyone had the chance to design their own noodle bowl and fill it with their favourite ingredients. Wednesday was full of energy and laughter during our Just Dance Tournament, as everyone showed off their best moves. Term ended on a relaxing note, with Yoga Night, the perfect way to unwind and recharge.
House 3 has been bursting with autumn spirit starting with the girls going foraging to gather natural treasures for a beautiful handmade wreath, while our junior boarders soaked up the sunshine on a lovely walk, before ending the day with some delicious cupcake and cookie baking. The wreath is complete and proudly hanging on House 3’s front door, adding a cosy, seasonal touch. More baking from the junior boarders making banana bread, before heading to Lazer Zone for some exciting tournaments. Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations saw the girls sharing handmade sticky and sweet rice balls, along with traditional sweet potato soup.
House 4 has been buzzing, kicking things off with a sizzling hotpot masterclass, where girls from all the boarding houses gathered to learn the secrets of crafting the perfect bowl. Using traditional ingredients and a whole lot of enthusiasm, the session was a roaring success, everyone left full, happy, and ready for seconds! On top of that, House 4 got creative with a colourful friendship bracelet-making session, filling the House with laughter, chatter, and plenty of sparkly string. Nigerian Independence Day was hosted by House 4’s Nigerian students, who organised and cooked delicious dishes, like plantain, chicken, puff puffs, and spicy rice - it was a fabulous evening. Autumn was wrapped up with homemade tangyuan, and a lantern moon walk in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Keswick – The sixth formers have enjoyed a cozy Apple Harvest Afternoon Tea, complete with apple pies, fresh apple juice, and, of course, plenty of crisp apples. They celebrated World Gratitude Day with Gratitude Journaling, reflecting on the first few weeks of the term with appreciation and positivity. Over the weekend, they came together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, with a grand home-cooked feast, lantern-making and a lively karaoke session, where everyone enjoyed belting out favourites like Defying Gravity and Take Me Home, Country Roads - a perfect way to end the week!
