Last week, Year 7 enjoyed a digital tour and workshop based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, produced by Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. The students heard about the history of the Globe Theatre, learnt how the stage is used in performance, and then explored Titania’s famous monologue from the play.
We also received the results of the Senior Maths Challenge, and congratulations to the students as we had fantastic results – 13 Gold, 22 Silver and 36 Bronze. Two of the Gold medallists also scored high enough to qualify for the British Maths Olympiad.
The Boarders also had great fun celebrate Halloween, with lots of fun activities and a Halloween party for the 6th Form in Keswick.
And finally, congratulations to Miss Hook who is through to the final of Handmade: Britain’s Best Woodworker! The final will air at 8pm on Wednesday on Channel 4.
