Last week, we were joined by a team of 9 inspectors from ISI. Their work included analysing the results of over 1500 questionnaires, interviewing over 140 students, meeting with over 75 members of staff, and reading through all our policies. They certainly squeezed a lot in to the three days they were in School and there is no doubt they undertook a very thorough investigation of everything that goes on at Roedean in order to produce their report which will be published in 3-4 weeks. The whole school community responded so positively, and it really was a team effort to show Roedean in the very best light.
It has been fantastic to see Netball fixtures back in full swing with a number of fixtures both home and away - particular congratulations go the U13A team who won the Hurst tournament. Following a series of social events with Tonbridge School, our Sports Prefects challenged them to a charity Netball match on home turf. There was brilliant support from a very vocal crowd, and we are delighted that our Year 13s won 13-7 all while raising over £800 for the charity we support in Moldova!
On Friday we celebrated Culture Day, and it was lovely to see both staff and students wearing traditional dress or an item of clothing or colour which is of cultural significance. The day, which was driven by our team of Prefects, highlighted and celebrated the wonderful diversity within our school community perfectly.
Finally, we have celebrated some incredible individual success stories this week at Roedean, you can read more about these and other stories in the full Head’s Review below.
