We were delighted to recently welcome former GB Olympian and Roedean Sports Ambassador, Helen Richardson-Walsh, back to Roedean for our annual Hockey Experience Day.
The day was a fantastic opportunity for young local hockey players to come together and gain valuable experience and insights from Helen and our expert team. In an inspirational talk at the end of the day, Helen shared her Olympic journey, what motivated her, and even brought along her Olympic medals!
Helen also took the time to meet with our Sports Scholars during her visit to discuss their current focus at Roedean, strength and conditioning. She shared insightful advice on life as an elite athlete and the dedication and preparation required to compete at Olympic level.
Connecting with a world-class athlete was an incredible and invaluable experience for our students. Helen was a true inspiration and was able to show the students what is possible through hard work and determination.
