The production of Alice By Heart last week was spectacular. It was the first entirely student-led production, with 12 passionate cast members and a creative team of nine sixth-form students who all worked tirelessly to pull off the phenomenal show. The students took every opportunity to challenge themselves, taking complete control of every aspect of the production, from performing and stage management to costumes, lighting and sound.

Many of you will remember the beloved teacher Jane Chandler and we were delighted to welcome her back to Roedean last week to formally open the new PE classroom. The classroom has been named in Jane’s honour and is a fitting acknowledgement to everything she did as a PE teacher and Head of Year during her 34-year career here.

We held our New Scholars’ Event on Tuesday, and it was wonderful to present students with their badges. Several scholars made presentations sharing reflections on their accomplishments and what being a scholar at Roedean means to them, while others impressed the audience with performances in Music, Dance and Musical Theatre.
