We have reached the end of the first half of term and it's hard to believe we have manged to fit so much in. There were so many highlights, including an inspiring visit from OR Amber Anning, Roedean students joining CCF at Lancing College, our Art Exhibition at the OXO Gallery, Roedean’s University Challenge, an incredible Black History Month lecture, a terrifying Halloween maze, an 8K run for charity, and so much more!
To celebrate Roedean’s Book Week, we welcomed two successful authors to School, Sarah Crossman and Emma Brand. Sarah delivered an interactive talk to students in Year’s 7 & 8, and Emma spoke about her experience as a new novelist in the publishing world. Throughout the week there were activities based on books and reading, rounded off perfectly with a Harry Potter themed tea-party!
On Thursday we welcomed 65 prospective students to Roedean for our annual Discovery Day with some of them also staying for a sleepover as part of a boarding-taster. They certainly seemed to enjoy the experience, and we hope it gave them a strong impression of Roedean life.
