Head's Review 10 05 2024

Keeping up with everything going on at Roedean

School News

Last Friday marked the start of study leave for our year 13s. They started the day with a celebratory breakfast, followed by photos in the sunshine, and Leavers’ Chapel, reminiscing over their time at School. It was lovely to see them all enjoying their last day together at Roedean before preparing for their A ‘Levels.

Year 9 took part in an incredible challenge last week to raise money for their chosen charity, Raystede. 49 students and staff dropped 165 metres from the i360, and while nerves were evident, they certainly rose to the occasion. It was fantastic to see so much support as they were met by cheers as the finally reached the bottom. The fundraising total for Raystede is £10,889 which is amazing – well done everyone!

It was wonderful to welcome prospective families to Roedean on Friday as we held an Open Afternoon for those who are looking at entry into Year 7. Guests had the opportunity to see the School during a normal day, which included observing lessons, visiting the lambs on the Farm, and watching cricket on the field.
