Head's Review 09 02 2024

School News

In the last week before the half term break, our new Scholars of 2023-2024 were presented badges in a special event organised by Ms Ibanez-Barcelo. It was wonderful to hear about their experiences of enrichment and the challenges in their specific areas of talent they have faced this year. Well done to all those who spoke, along with several students who performed brilliantly.

It has been lovely to learn so much about Lunar New Year as students shared their different traditions and ways in which they celebrate. Celebrations continued across the School, with activities such as dumpling making, decorating the Houses in true Lunar New Year style, and students showing their creativity by producing some beautiful origami flowers.

There were some fantastic fixtures in Cricket, Swimming and Netball last week - our teams were as determined as ever, with our netballers facing some rather wet and windy conditions on the court. A particular well done to the U16s National Schools Squad, who competed in the regional round of the England Netball competition coming fourth in the South of England!
