Our first Head’s Weekly Review of the year, and it has been lovely to see everyone back at Roedean after the Christmas break. It has certainly been a cold start to the term with some bright but rather chilly days - we even had snow at School last week!
University offers have started to come in for Year 13s, and is wonderful that they have received 106 offers already for a range of different courses and routes, such as Degree Apprenticeships. Last weekend, the English Department took some of the Sixth Formers on a residential trip to the Isle of Sheppey. The aim of the trip was for students and staff to respond creatively to their surroundings with activities including, writing in the pitch dark of the night and writing by the heat of a roaring fire. The students really embraced their literacy creativity, and we look forward to reading the anthology of their writing.
Finally, there has been some tremendous Netball fixtures over the last week, with students braving the cold and heading onto the court for some brilliant matches. Well done to everyone involved, to the U15s for their victory against Brighton College, and the U13s for their hard work at the Lingfield Tournament.
