As we approach the end of the first half-term of the year it has been lovely to reflect on how well all our new students have settled in. There have been an huge number of activities undertaken, from bake-sales to life drawing, sailing to gardening, along with sporting and academic enrichment activities for St Mark’s.
Last week our U16s competed in the County round of England Netball’s National Schools’ competition. They worked extremely hard throughout the day, playing 140 minutes of tournament intensity netball. We were delighted when it was revealed that they had qualified for the regional round! The next stage takes place in February, and we can’t wait to see how they get on.
This year’s charity fundraising got off to a great start, with 31 students and staff running an 8km all female race along the undercliff below School. The event helped raise money for RISE, a local charity that supports the victims of domestic abuse, and we raised an incredible £1300!
