Last week at Roedean, seeing the students participating in some amazing Co-Curricular activities was fantastic. We have such a wide range of activities available, and it really was brilliant to see so many students getting stuck in.
35 prospective students, joined us for a STEM Experience Day with the theme ‘Ready to Launch'. The day saw them take part in various exciting Design, Maths, and Physics activities, including launching rockets and building marshmallow catapults! The girls seemed to thoroughly enjoy trying something new, along with meeting some new faces. Roedean’s STEM ambassador, Dr Suzie Imber, supported the day and gave a fascinating talk, we are looking forward to seeing her play more of an active role at the School this year.
There were a huge number of sporting fixtures that took place last week, including some highly competitive hockey games. Some players were playing their first game of the season and others, their first ever game of hockey for Roedean. It was great to see them show such excellent teamwork and resilience – well done to everyone involved.
Finally, we wish a very Happy New Year to everyone who celebrated Rosh Hashanah over the weekend, and to anyone from Mexico, we hope you enjoyed celebrating Independence Day.
