Our first Head’s Weekly Review of the new academic year and what a superb week it has been at Roedean. We have welcomed new students to the School as well as returning students after a long and well-deserved Summer break. It has been lovely to hear the buzz of school life back in the corridors.

It has been truly amazing to hear of all the fantastic things our talented students have been up to over the summer, with activities ranging from Level 2 RYA Sailing and performing in the West End, to Gold Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and Surf Lifesaving!

Last week we received the exciting news that we have been named as a finalist for Independent Boarding School of the Year. This really does highlight all that we do and our outstanding all-round provision. We are looking forward to October when the winner will be announced.

House Shout was a great start to our House Competitions last week, the students were loud, enthusiastic, and full of energy. House 4 were crowned overall winners for the second year in a row - well done to everyone involved.

Finally, congratulations to everyone who took part in our annual OR vs the School Hockey match which took part at the start of the month. It was a brilliant game with a final score of 2-2.
