Roedean Day on June 24th was magnificent, bringing together everything Roedean is about – community, fun, and variety. The morning saw ORs, parents, and students visiting various departments across the school, the fantastic Art exhibition, and a marvellous performance of Mary Poppins before heading to the field for our annual Sports Day. The sun shone and the entire school community made the day a huge success.
The final week of term was full of trips and activities, including a day trip to France for Year 7 and a 125th Anniversary Festival Day. The festival day was exciting and diverse, and students came together in groups to make time capsules, recreate Roedean archive photos and even make pieces for a fashion show in Chapel!
We headed to the Dome on Thursday 29th June for Speech Day, a day to recognise and celebrate the talents of all our students. Our guest speaker was Pip Delamere-Wright (Tattersall, No. 1, 1988-93), who shared an inspiring message about challenging ourselves, and getting back up and trying again if we do not succeed the first time.
We wish everyone a wonderful summer holiday. The Roedeanian Office will be open throughout the summer as we plan for our exciting Autumn Term events. We look forward to seeing many of you at them.
