As we near the end of the school year we congratulate all those who have been taking their GCSEs. They completed their final papers last week and their Prom on Thursday evening was a lovely way to celebrate together.
Mary Poppins was an absolute triumph with the cast putting on a total of four performances, the last of which was on Roedean Day. It was wonderful to see so many students involved in the production – on stage, as part of the backstage crew and also making costumes! There was some fantastic acting, singing and even the set changes were perfectly choreographed to the music, what was even more impressive is that the entire cast is from Key Stage 3 - a huge well done to all involved.
Year 7 had a fantastic end to their Wild Fridays programme with everyone in their year group taking on the challenge to abseil down the cliffs at Peacehaven to raise money for their dedicated charity, Rockinghorse. The students were incredibly brave, and it was a brilliant group endeavour.
House music was the final House competition of the year with each House picking a Disney film out of a hat which had to play a central part in their performance. It was wonderful to see such a range of talent with themes from Moana, Frozen, Encanto and The Little Mermaid – it was a real extravaganza of different styles. Well done to everyone involved and congratulations to the overall winners, House 4.
