Last week was extremely busy, with many exciting activities taking place across all year groups. Year 9s and 10s completed their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver expeditions – an incredible accomplishment, but even more so on the hottest day of the year so far!
44 Year 10 students slept out on the field to raise funds for their dedicated charity, Off the Fence. It was wonderful for them to meet the charity’s founder, Paul Young, when he came to the school at the start of the evening to thank them for everything they have done to support the charity over the course of the year. Year 10 have raised just under £10,000 this year, which is amazing.
Our A’level geographers returned from an exhilarating trip to the Jurassic Coast, fulfilling the requirement for their course of spending four days carrying fieldwork outside the school environment. Visiting Chesil Beach, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, and many more, it was a truly memorable trip.
Last week also saw an array of sporting events, with close Cricket matches, some fantastic Tennis, and some of our incredible Athletes achieving new personal bests! Finally, congratulations to Liepa in Year 10 who has been selected as one of the squad of twelve girls representing the Junior NBA in Valencia.
