Last week it was wonderful to welcome representatives from Best Schools UK to Roedean to present Mrs Green with an award for being one of the top 10 UK girls’ boarding schools for last year’s A ‘Level results. The representatives enjoyed a tour of the school and were full of praise for everything they saw. Well done to everyone in the Sixth Form for all the hard work – an excellent achievement.

The Year 9 students enjoyed a fantastic residential trip last week, which proved hugely successful. There were a range of physical and mental challenges that the students took part in as well as several performances from the group as they bonded around the campfire.

Wednesday saw students and staff dressed in the colours of the Moldovan flag as part of a special non-uniform day and charity bake sale to help raise money for Project 125 Moldova. This comes just less than a month before twelve students from Years 11 and 12 travel to Moldova where they will be teaching English to over 50 Ukrainian refugee children and Moldovan orphans.

Finally, there were some brilliant tennis successes, firstly with a competitive match against Bede’s for our U15s. There was some brilliant play from both teams with the overall score 8-4 to Roedean. Our U13s also enjoyed success as they met Burgess Hill and we are excited to find out if we have qualified for the regional knockout competition – well done everyone!
