Roedean has been as busy as ever as we near the end of the Spring Term. Last week saw activities to mark British Science Week, our annual Careers Fair, and some fantastic bake sales to help raise funds and support the Turkey earthquake appeal.
Congratulations to Emma in Year 11 who has won a highly coveted Degree Apprenticeship place with QinetiQ, lasting three years. Also, congratulations to Yilin in Year 12 who has won a 6-week summer placement with the Bank of England - incredible achievements for both students.
Friday’s Performing Arts Gala Showcase was phenomenal, with well over 100 students performing. There were some magnificent musical pieces, along with some familiar extracts from the amazing shows we have enjoyed at Roedean this year, and even a teaser from next week’s Mystery Promenade Concert.
Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who attended the Careers Fair. We were lucky to have representatives from nearly thirty professions with contributors from our OR, parental and local community. The hall was filled with students who took their time visiting their chosen stands, keen to ask questions about the wide range of careers on offer.
