In our final Head's Weekly Review of 2022, we look back at the very busy final week of term!
In amongst all of the wonderfully festive activities and events, we also held our Dance Showcase. Over 70 dancers took part in two performances, demonstrating a variety of styles. The theme of the evening was A Night at the Movies, and the performances were definitely worthy of the red carpet!
The Classics department also announced the results of their Baking Competition. The challenge was to produce a cake decorated to replicate a genuine mosaic from the Classical World. The department were hugely impressed with the girls' creative flair, and fantastic attendtion to details, and there were winners in each year group from year 7-12.
And finally, we were really excited to hold a first fencing fixture for some years, with two friendly matches against Ardingly College. Fencing has recently been reintroduced at Roedean, and so the majority of the girls are new to the sport and were relishing the opportunity to try out their skills.
