We are incredibly grateful, and excited to be able to announce that due to a very generous donor sponsoring a student for a whole year, we are within touching distance of our appeal target of £50,000.
It has been so wonderful to welcome our nine Ukrainian students to Roedean this September. The girls have all settled in very well, and shown tremendous dedication to their school work. Their resilience to be able to do this, in such exceptionally difficult circumstances.
This is made even better by knowing that due to the generosity of our community, we have now secured almost all the funding needed for these students. Of our £50,000 target, we have so far raised £47,283. This means we need to raise just £2,717 more to reach our target.
Reaching our target will ensure that all of the students are funded at 110%. Meaning they won't just have their fees covered, but also their uniforms, sports kit, bus travel to and from school, and any extra-curricular activities or school trips they wish to take part in. If we exceed the target, then it means we can release school funds allocated to Ukrainian Bursaries to help support our main Bursary Fund.
Thank you to every one of you who has supported the appeal so far, either through a direct donation, sponsoring our Channel Swim Team, or encouraging others to give.
If you would like to help us with this final stretch of the appeal, then you do can so by donating online here, or by downloading and returning our Gift Form, which can be found here.
If you would like a hard copy of the appeal brochure or gift form, or if you would like to discuss making a donation to either this appeal, or another area of the School, then please contact Grace Chaston on 01273 667398, [email protected] or by post at The Roedeanian Office, Roedean School, Roedean Way, Brighton, BN2 5RQ.
