Following our special tribute issue to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, I am delighted to now share with you the Head’s Weekly Review for last week.
The first full week of term got off to a great start with the OR vs Student Hockey Match last Saturday, the girls put up a fierce fight, but the 5-0 victory went to the OR team – congratulations! Following the disruption to normal inter-House activities during Covid, this year, we are having a renewed focus on House spirit. To launch the programme for the year, last week we held a ‘House Shout’ competition. Each House was challenged with writing, rehearsing and performing a new chant for their House – the event was great fun, and the girls loved coming up with their chants. Who can still remember their House chant?
And finally, last week the finalists in the Independent Schools Awards were announced, and we are delighted to be able to share that we are finalists for Independent Girls’ School of the Year. The final announcement will be on 11th October.
