With all of our students, and most of our staff now enjoying the summer break, we are marking the end of the 2021-22 academic year. As you can see in the picture gallery below, it has been a typically busy year at Roedean!
There has been fantastic successes on the Sports Field, with two national champion netball teams, trophies being won in Athletics, and six of our girls being in the England Tier 1 Hockey winning team amongst many other individual and team successes. Perhaps the biggest sporting success of course was our team of sea-swimmers who successfully swam across the Channel in June, raising over £6,000 for the Ukrainian Bursary appeal in the process.
The Boarders have enjoyed lots of social events, weekend trips and parties, culminating in a fun-filled Boarding Summer Party.
It was brilliant to be able to return to a full schedule of trips and visits, starting with Year 9 visiting Arundel Castle, and ending with the A Level Classics students visiting the British Museum.
Our newly refurbished Theatre was unveiled at the start of the year, and has already been very well-used for workshops, masterclasses and exceptional performances, culminating with Matilda in June.
We have had numerous speakers to widen the girls horizons, from careers talks, to our International Womens' Day festival, and OR Beatrix Ong as our guest speaker for Speech Day.
For a snapshot of all of this, and much more have a look at our Highlights of 2021-22 Picture Gallery below.
