Firstly, thank you to everyone who has supported the Ukrainian Bursary appeal so far. We have had an incredible first two weeks of fundraising, reaching 25% of our target already. 

The Channel Swim team's JustGiving Page, raised nearly £7,000 in just over a week, and Jemima, Head Girl and Swim Team member has this message for their supporters:

 Thank you so much for your donation! My team-mates and I have been absolutely stunned and delighted by all the support we have received for our swim - and we are so thrilled to have helped to enable fellow students, who have been displaced from their own schools, to join us in ours.

The appeal officially launched a week ago, and since then, we have had a fantastic response, taking the £7,000 raised from the Channel swim up to nearly £13,000. This is a really strong start and means we are a quarter of the way to our target. But that also means we still have another £37,000 to go, so we still need your help.

This week we also met with a further three Ukrainian students who have just arrived in the country, the strong start to the appeal, means that we have been able to offer these girls places to join us in September, but we still need to go further to ensure we can support as many students as possible, and that whilst they are here, they will be able to fully benefit from life at Roedean and becoming part of our family.
