School News

As we start our last week of the Spring Term, it is fantastic to hear the School full of chatter and to see the girls playing sport in the sunshine down on the fields. The highlight of last week was our outstanding Headmaster’s Lecture given by Sarah Jenkins – Managing Director of Saatchi and Saatchi London. Hers was the first in a series of termly lectures, which are intended to bring together students, staff, parents, ORs, and Roedean Academy students. It was an inspirational evening, with incredibly positive feedback from our community.

In other news, ten girls in Year 12 have entered the Newnham College Essay Competition this year, following Venetia’s (Yr13) success last year. They have all relished the challenge and academic rigour that this national essay competition has provided, and have covered an impressive range of subjects. And finally, we very much enjoyed a virtual Teatime Recital last week – the link to enjoy this wonderful feast of music is included in the review below.
