Head's Weekly Review 05 03 2021

Keeping up with everything going on at Roedean.

Happy International Woman’s Day! To mark the day the School hosted an amazing remote conference where eighteen inspiring women speakers shared their insights and experiences. We are also absolutely delighted to be welcoming back most girls and staff on site this week, and are looking forward to hearing the corridors and classrooms full of chatter and excitement once more.

Last week saw the girls engaging in lots of activities to celebrate World Book Day. Girls dressed up in amazing costumes, and there were book quizzes and author discussions as well as activities in tutor and lesson time. In other news, last Saturday Roedean hosted its first virtual Open Day. 112 families attended, and presentations included an update from the Headmaster and the Head Girls, as well as two wonderfully pieces prepared for the event. The School also hosted 3 live Q&A sessions which were particularly popular, and we have received lots of positive feedback from the event.

And finally, we are delighted to invite you to attend our inaugural Headmaster’s Lecture on Wednesday 17 March. Our guest speaker is Sarah Jenkins, the Managing Director of Saatchi & Saatchi London. Please book your place at this virtual event here www,roedeantheatre.co.uk
