The last week at Roedean was full of festive cheer, despite the current restrictions meaning we had to do things slightly differently this year.
On the last day of term, we all watched a virtual Carol Service, and the catering department put together a delicious Christmas lunch for all of the girls and staff. The Science department joined in the festivities by putting together some research into the Science of Santa, and the Maths department tasked Year 12 with creating a Christmas image using only equations on graphs.
The Prefects have been entertaining everyone with their ’10 Days of Christmas’ with treats and activities to mark the countdown to the end of term and the girls (with help from Dr Barrand) also put together a ‘12 Days of Covid-Xmas’ video.
Congratulations go to the 12 girls who took their ABRSM graded Music exams last week, and especially to the 4 girls who achieved distinctions.
In other news, our community work continued to the last minute, with the girls and staff preparing 270 gift bags to share festive cheer with six local groups, and the Year 12s collected around 300 items of food and 75 gifts in their foodbank collection.
