Notice of the Old Roedeanians' Association Annual General Meeting 2023

18 Sep 2023
ORA News

This will be held on Saturday 14th October 2023 at Roedean School, Brighton. Registration is from 10:30 am with the meeting commencing at 11:00 am. The meeting will be followed by lunch at 1:00 pm.

The AGM is for ORA members only, but guests and ORs who are not members of the ORA are welcome to attend the lunch.  Lunch tickets are free of charge for ORA members and £25 for others.

Following the lunch, we will be holding a Heritage Projects Tour commencing at 2:30 pm, all ORs and their guests are also invited to stay for this.

Whilst booking for the AGM itself isn't essential, it is for the lunch and the Heritage Projects Tour, it also helps with our planning to know numbers for the AGM. To book, please either use this link, email membership-secretary@oldroedeanians.co.uk or write to The ORA, c/o The Roedeanian Office, Roedean School, Roedean Way, Brighton, BN2 5RQ. If you are including a cheque to book a guest ticket for the lunch, please make this payable to 'Roedean School'.

The papers for the AGM have been sent to all members of the ORA for whom we have contact details either by post or by email.

Additional Committee Members

The Committee has vacancies for additional members.  If you would like to be considered for nomination to the Committee, please send a short CV to the Membership Secretary of the ORA at membership-secretary@oldroedeanians.co.uk  by 6 pm, Wednesday, 4th October 2023.

Vacancy for Treasurer - Old Roedeanians’ Scholarship Fund

The Old Roedeanians’ Scholarship Fund (ORSF) is a registered Charity No 1066599.  We are looking for an OR to fulfil the role of Treasurer to the Charity. This is a voluntary position (and not onerous).  This may be an excellent opportunity for an in-training or newly qualified accountant.  Please email trustees@oldroedeanians.co.uk for more details.
