The OR Magazine 2024 is available online and for download, free of charge, to those who login/join the Roedean Community Network: https://community.roedean.co.uk/news/old-roedeanians-magazine. This validation and password protection ensures that the magazine is only available online to ORs and is not accessible by any internet search engine.

You can also use this same link and click on “Subscribe to the OR Magazine” if you would like to take out a subscription for the printed magazine or to purchase a single copy, alternatively email [email protected] or call the Alumnae Office on 01273 667588.

As usual the content of the Magazine is wide ranging, including:

- The voluntary work of ORs, both here in the UK and abroad, has been the subject of a number of articles.

- The sporting achievements of ORs, including the OR Channel Swim Relay Team.

- Various OR social events.

- Photographs of the 2024 Leavers.

- Articles written by past Headmistresses of Roedean and an OR who went on to be a Headmistress of a Prep School.

- Cleaning up after the Florida hurricanes.

- The travails of a travel writer.

- An OR recalls memories of Roedean in the 80s.

- OR authors and writers have updated us on their careers, and writing about subjects as varied as cooking with an air fryer and design icons of Paris.

- An article on the stained glass windows in the Chapel. It’s a good example of not always being aware of the history all around us, even in a place we used to visit on a daily basis!

We do hope you enjoy reading the magazine. If you would like to contribute to the 2025 issue in any way, or to discuss ideas, please contact our Editorial Board at [email protected].
