Our annual OR vs the School Hockey match took place on Saturday 2nd September. It was a glorious day with hardly any wind (was this really Roedean?) and blazing sunshine. It was an exciting game with both teams displaying exceptional teamwork, along with some outstanding hockey, and the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

The OR team (including six previous school hockey captains) was Olivia Taggart (No.3, 2015-22), Maggie El Beleidi (No.3, 2011-18), Eloise Goddard( No.3, 2016-21), Jemima Goddard (No.4, 2016-21), Lucy Petit (No.1, 2015-22), Clara Hollowood (No.4, 2013-20), Millie Jenner (Class of 2023), Eliza Steeles, goalie (No.2, 2019-22), Matilda Williams, goalie (Class of 2023), India Harrison, (No.2, 2016-21), Lucy Allen (Abram, No.4, 1982-84) and Abby Briault (No.1, 2016-19).

The teams were cheered on by other ORs, (including Mary Goddard (Scott, No.3, 1984-89) and Sue Scott (May, No.3, 1947-53), mother and granny of team captains Eloise and Jemima Goddard), friends, staff, and Mrs Green. A well-deserved and most delicious match tea was enjoyed by all, in what really was, a wonderful afternoon.
