We kicked off our alumni programme of events this September with our annual London Lunch at the Bluebird in Chelsea, an intimate venue that has once again provided the perfect setting for Old Roedeanians to reconnect, reminisce, and enjoy a delicious meal together.
Guests were welcomed with a complimentary Roedean gift, this year our acacia wood serving boards, before sitting down to a wonderful three-course lunch.
John Hobbs, Director of Strategy and Innovation, presented a fascinating talk drawing a connection between sisterhood and sea swimming. His reflections served as a powerful reminder that the friendships and values built at Roedean continue to shape and support alumnae long after they leave school.
The OR London Lunch is a highlight of our calendar, bringing together Old and Young Roedeanians to share memories, strengthen connections and celebrate their enduring ties to Roedean.
Sarah Gunde, Fundraising Officer, remarked that "it's such a joy to create spaces for Old Roedeanians to gather. Hearing generations of former students share their life stories and experiences makes it almost impossible to leave these lunches without feeling inspired."
