ORA Heritage Projects Appeal - October Update

A fantastic start in the first two months of the appeal

ORA News

We are delighted to report that donations to cover the entire cost of restoring and conserving the frieze painted by Sylvia Lawrence in No 3, have now been received.  This was Penelope Lawrence’s drawing room, so it is particularly special.  It is hoped that the conservators will start work once the school breaks up for the Christmas holidays.

Since we launched the Appeal at the beginning of September, ORs have been very generous - thank you so much to those who have donated so far - we now only need to raise a further £2,300 out of the total cost of £11,600, before we have sufficient funds to contract for our next project, the Sundial/Astrolabe.

For those of you who have not been down to the school for a while – we thought you would like to see this video of the Sundial/Astrolabe which we took last month. Time and the weather have not been kind!

You can view the video here: https://vimeo.com/762651280/35f756d525.

Please do help us to reach our Target for this project so that we can start work on the conservation and restoration of this iconic feature on the Front Terrace. If you are able, any donation, however small, would be really welcome and appreciated. You can donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ora-heritage-projects.

Thank you so much for your support!
