Governors' News
Governors gathered for the AGM at the Caledonian Club on 19 February. The meeting was chaired by the President of the Corporation, Lady Lavender Patten (Thornton, No. 3, 1955-61). The Chair of Council, Anne Whitaker, and the Headmaster, Oliver Blond, gave an update on both School and Governor matters, and the continued success of the students.  Two candidates, Toyin Fani-Kayode (No. 4, 1972-80) and Victoria Jenkins (No. 3, 1965-71) were elected, each by a majority on a show of hands with all other Governors in attendance abstaining.

The ORA AGM 2018 followed. It was presided over by Ginny Stephen, Chairman of the ORA. The Minutes will shortly be posted on the School website. The 2016 and 2017 Leavers, together with Kate Leiper (Johnson) and Georgia Mews (Brown) were endorsed as members of the ORA. The existing Committee were all within their terms of office so the Committee remains the same as last year. Ginny Stephen will become President of the ORA for the next two years.

The AGM was followed by a Prosecco Reception and Hot Buffet Supper for 50.  Oliver Blond, Headmaster attended as a guest of the ORA.  Lavender Patten, President of Council and Anne Whitaker, Chairman of Council, together with others from the School, were also present, along with many ORs.  It was a great and convivial evening, enjoyed by everybody.
