Head's Weekly Review 24 05 2019

Keeping up with everything going on at Roedean.

Half term is here! The girls are now enjoying a hard-earned break in their exams, before the final four weeks of the summer term. Last week was as busy as ever, with years 7-9 (U3-U4) having their internal exams, as well as the continuing GCSE and A Level exams. Outside the exam room, we held a charity evening of song, featuring performances from girls and staff, which raised £125 for the School’s charities. Two girls found out that they had won prizes in a national Classics competition and future Roedeanian Madison (joining us in Yr 7 in September) came 2nd in the Sussex Grand Prix in Chess - we look forward to welcoming her to Roedean soon!

Nine budding entrepreneurs from Year 12 attended an exciting Guild of Entrepreneurs event at Christ’s Hospital in Horsham. We also had two exciting afternoons of theatre with the Year 12s and 10s performing their A Level and GCSE devised pieces. In other news, the Junior House Cricket Tournament has been taking place in the afternoons – read more to find out which House came out top!
