Politics students meet OR who works at the UN

School News
On Monday 8 October, the Politics Department was lucky enough to be visited by OR Cristal Downing (No. 1, 1995-2002), who works as a Senior Policy Adviser at the UK Mission to the United Nations. Cristal led a seminar for Year 13 Politics students, discussing the role and effectiveness of the United Nations. She offered some fascinating insights into the workings of the Security Council, which is a key focus of the A Level. The session was highly inspirational and an excellent opportunity to see first-hand where the study of Politics may one day lead. We are most grateful to Cristal and hope to hear from her again!
