Keeping up with everything going on at Roedean

School News

It was wonderful to see all the hard work pay off, as we opened the Roedean London Art Exhibition on Friday. There was a Preview Evening on the Thursday before the doors opened to the public, and it was fantastic to be able to share work from last year’s Year 13 students along with pieces from OR artists. There will be a full write up in the Autumn Roedeanian.

Last week, our Year 9 students took part in a Street Dance workshop with JP Omari. They all rose to the challenge and demonstrated some brilliant dynamic moves and sequences which really tested their strength, coordination and endurance. This week, our Year 7 students will take part in an exciting Samba drumming workshop and will then showcase what they have learnt to their parents.

Finally, we are looking forward to welcoming double Olympic Bronze medallist, OR Amber Anning, back to Roedean today. She will be talking about her incredible journey to the Paris Games, and about her commitment and dedication to the sport, which will no doubt be extremely inspiring for the students.
