It has been wonderful to see so many of the girls enjoying Roedean’s sports pitches and grounds in the sunshine last week. On Tuesday, Year 11 Business students went on a trip to Drusilla's Zoo, where they were given a presentation about the business, and a chance to complete a marketing fact finding exercise. Drusilla’s is a thriving local independent business and a fantastic example of how a small business can grow through successful marketing with a strong focus on the customer experience. We also held a very successful event in London for the Heads of Prep Schools last week. A number of students and members of staff attended the event to represent the School, and shared their thoughts and experiences. The students’ passion for learning and their commitment to make the most of every opportunity on offer really shone through. In other news, we are delighted that sea swimming is back up and running at the school. Last Wednesday 18 girls from Yr7 to Yr13 had a bracing swim in the sea, and even saw the sun rising above Roedean from the sea. And finally, last Tuesday book binder and conservator, Holly Smith, visited the Art Department for the first KS3 scholars masterclass of the year, and the girls had the opportunity to learn the skills and techniques to make their own hand-made sketch book.
