Official All-Weather Pitch Opening

1 Oct 2018
School News
On Friday 28 September we were delighted to welcome to Roedean the Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Councillor Dee Simson, and Helen Richardson-Walsh, GB Olympic Champion Hockey player and one of the school’s Sports Ambassadors, to the official opening of the all-weather pitch. They were joined by a number of current parents and ORs. Year 10 started the proceedings by playing a short match on the new pitch, showcasing to everyone present the fantastic new facility. This was followed by the Mayor, and the Headmaster, saying a few words about the transformational project, before unveiling the Pitch Perfect Donor Board, which thanks those whose support helped to build the pitch. The Headmaster then introduced Helen Richardson-Walsh, who officially opened the pitch by cutting the ribbon. It was wonderful for everyone to see Helen cut the ribbon, and we cannot wait to see the incredible impact having such a facility on site will have on the girls.
