Keeping up with everything going on at Roedean.

School News
It was a busy half-term break for some of our students and staff, with a trip to Iceland, skiing in America, and watching Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon. 34 girls went to Iceland, with highlights including a visit to the Reykjavik Concert Hall, the amazing Blue Lagoon and Thingvellir National Park. Despite the challenging weather, everyone had a fantastic time. The drama department also led a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon trip for a weekend of entertainment and enrichment. It was wonderful to see Shakespeare’s birthplace, as well as an interactive workshop run by the Royal Shakespeare Company and watching 2 plays. In other news, congratulations to Galina (Yr8), who has been accepted into the National Schools’ Symphony Orchestra. Galina has also been selected as one of two young musicians to perform in the Hastings Piano Festival, working with Oscar-winning composer, Rachel Portman OBE. The performance will take place on Friday 6th March. And finally, congratulations to this year’s Sixth Form students who have done very well in the Biology Olympiad 2020.
