Head's Weekly Review 12 12 2019
Keeping up with everything going on at Roedean.
It’s the end of term! This week we have had the hotly-contested House Christmas Spirit Competition, with much singing, dancing, icing, decorating, and laughing – read the review to find out the results! We have also held a whole range of events at the School, our own mock election, run by Mr Marchant and the A Level Politics students, the Sixth Form Snow Ball in Keswick, two outstanding Carol Services, with three choirs and an array of musicians, and two Staff Pantos. In other news, a big thank you and well done to everyone involved in the Harry-Potter-themed Christmas Fair. The girls really went to town with their stalls, and they had some brilliant ideas to engage with our visitors. A fantastic £8,400 was raised for the 3 charities. And finally, all Year 7 pupils took part in an exciting day of rhythmic music and movement, a samba workshop, making the most enormous amount of sound in the Theatre. The stage was filled with a vast array of samba instruments, including surdos, tamborims, ganzas, and agogo bells.
