Head's Weekly Review 08 06 2018
Keeping up with everything going on at Roedean.
We said a heartfelt goodbye to this year’s leavers on the Friday before half term, with a lovely breakfast, Leaver’s Chapel, Hand-Shaking and, of course, the Leavers’ Ball at the Grand. Roedean’s EdClub pilot started on Wednesday last week, with 12 girls in Year 12 skyping children in a Nigerian slum for an hour. Roedean also hosted a football tournament this week for 11 teams from schools in the area. The players enjoyed fantastic weather, and it was lovely to see such wonderful quality and great female representation in this sport. In other news, we welcomed 120 prospective girls to Roedean for our annual Rockpools Day. Our visitors had a fantastic time, searching for crabs, starfish and a variety of sea-life on the shore, along with enjoying a variety of other science, art and team building activities. And finally, the Year 12 Art students attended Graduate Fashion Week where they got to speak to graduates, universities, and people in the fashion industry.
