With over a third of the girls away on trips, the School was a little quieter last week. On the Geography field trip and Art trip to Tate Britain, the girls were able to put theory into a practical context outside the classroom and to be inspired by nature and art. While back at the School, Lawrence House was officially 'opened'. Girls, teachers and tutors, and some members of Council, enjoyed a wonderful tea and the official ribbon cutting.
The girls throughout the school had great fun celebrating European Day of Languages last week. Each tutor group was set the challenge to recreate the Eiffel Tower and a quiz to test the breadth of their knowledge of languages. A group of Sixth Form students also had the opportunity to attend lectures at the British Science Festival, which celebrates the best and latest of British Science.
