Roedean Girls Achieve Top Results
Roedean girls celebrating on results day
Roedean is delighted that all Year 11 and Year 13 girls have performed so well in their public exams this year. Well over half of all A Levels were awarded A*-A grades, including one third of the Year who achieved 3 or more A*-A grades. Moreover, 20% of girls were awarded 2 or more A* grades, which is an outstanding result.
We are equally proud of those girls who may not have a string of A* grades, but have surpassed expectations to achieve the best possible grades; the conscientious approach of these girls has resulted in strong grades, which will take them through to the next stage of their education.
For the second year in succession, Roedean girls have achieved the highest ever GCSE grades in the School’s history, with an incredible 50% of all grades achieving the highest A* grade and 75% of all grades achieving A*-A. The school’s largest ever Year 11 cohort of 78 girls achieved a stunning 500 A*-A grades. With 90% achieving A*-B, there is a depth of achievement across the whole cohort.
The Headmaster, Oliver Blond, is delighted with the results: ‘It is wonderful to see such fantastic achievement, and the girls thoroughly deserve their success. All the girls have performed exceptionally and their results are the culmination of their academic passion and a commitment to making progress at every level. It is important to remember that these girls are equally committed to an all-round education: they are musicians, sportswomen, dancers, actors and performers as well as being committed to their local community. Every girl has something to be very proud of and I know that they will be delighted with their results, and we are too!’
The School would like to congratulate every girl for their hard work and commitment, Roedean is thrilled with all the girls’ achievements at all levels and every girl has achieved an impressive set of results.
