The meeting was chaired by Roger Sanders OBE, Chair of the Council of Trustees in the absence of Lady Lavender Patten (Thornton, No.3, 1955 – 61), President of the Corporation, and was attended by 72 Governors.
The business of the AGM was carried out in conformity with the Royal Charter.
The AGM:
- Approved the Minutes of the AGM held on 19th February 2018;
- Accepted the Annual Report and Accounts that were presented by the Chair of the Council of Trustees and Chair of the Finance Committee respectively;
- Re-appointed the Auditors, Crowe UK for a further term of twelve months;
- Elected three new Trustees to the Council of Trustees.
The meeting also included an update from the School from John Hobbs, Deputy Head Academic, and a question and answer session.
The Election
A total of 1,262 votes were cast from the 72 Governors present plus 351 proxies. John Fawcett-Ellis, Clerk to Council, acted as the returning officer with assistance from: Trustee Kathy Cowell (Behrens, No.3, 1965 – 71), Vice-President of the ORA Mary Henderson (No.3, 1971 – 76) and Trustee Teresa Outhwaite (Brach, No.1, 1985 – 91)
